Mathematics

The study of mathematics is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10. At Beverley Park School many of our Year 11 and 12 students also take part in the Mathematics Life Skills course.

By studying mathematics, students learn to work mathematically – developing fluency, understanding, problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills.

The syllabus consists of the following strands:

  • number and algebra
  • measurement and geometry
  • statistics and probability.

Beverley Park School uses the NSW K-10 Mathematics Syllabus for Years K-6, we also apply the NSW Life Skills Syllabus for our High School students.

Our students develop numeracy skills as they are embedded throughout all key learning areas. Lessons include many practical and hands on strategies to build Mathematical concepts and skills.
